These terms can give high rankings short term but will ultimately hurt your website in the long run. Search engines like Google are always checking and constantly updating their algorithms to be aware of such things. The websites that are caught using Black Hat SEO can face a significant drop in rankings or become completely removed from the SERP. These tactics can harm a website’s credibility and reputation, because a user will check out your website and find out it’s not what they were looking for.
It’s much safer and will help your site in the long run if you focus on White Hat SEO. These practices prioritize quality content, that focus on the users needs, and forming legitimate links. Following ethical White SEO practices, your site will earn more organic rankings and it will be easier to have a strong online reputation.

Hey Aubra, I agree with everything you have to say. Black Hat SEO is bad and should be avoided. It is cheating and at the end of the day cheaters will finish last.

Hi, I think this view is good to think about, and sometimes the Black Hat method us considered bad, and I would agree with that. There can be some unethical methods used when considering this view. Good thoughts.
I like what you said about harming yourself in the long run for short term gain. I feel like this is applicable to all aspects of business too. You can do the right thing and build business and customers through good, ethical business for the long-term.
