EEAT Marketing

Google’s EEAT Model is crucial to understand for SEO. EEAT stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. Each category is a way that Google decides how relevant and credible your site is.

Experience

The first “E” in EEAT is based upon the personal, first-hand experience of the individual or brand. Google will prioritize content from sites that have real-world experience with their subject matter. So, to optimize for this, focus on creating content that shows your first-hand experience with a problem or solution, rather than just some research or data. Using personal anecdotes, case studies, or testimonials are a great way to accomplish this.

Expertise

This “E” prioritizes sites and content that have demonstrated deep knowledge or qualifications in the subject area. This is super important for industries like health, finance, and law where the expertise of the content creator matters for people’s lives. Make sure to not only create well-researched content, but also include your qualifications, certifications, or other experience in your content to show that you are an expert in your field.

Authoritativeness

To get an “A” for your SEO, you’re going to need some reputable backlinks. Being mentioned or quoted on high-authority websites like news outlets, journals, .gov sites, etc. will boost the authoritativeness of your site by showing Google that well-known sites trust you. Get your brand name out in the open!

Trustworthiness

Last but not least, “T” for trustworthiness. Google wants to see clear, verifiable sources and transparency when it comes to affiliations, sponsorships, or bias. To optimize for this, use secure websites (HTTPS), have a privacy policy, secure payment options, testimonials, and accreditations.

Great post! You really thoroughly explained Google’s EEAT Model. I think it is great that Google cares so much about the quality of the content searchers see on the SERP.
