“No matter how niche or mainstream your market is, great content remains a significant focus for SEO.”
-Kristopher Jones, Founder of LSEO
This quote really stood out to me because it reminds me of why I want to learn about SEO. I want to get into social media marketing and build a career in that. SEO is vital for marketing and building an online presence. Even if I am marketing content for a more niche business, for example a theater, having the correct keywords and links will help tremendously. SEO will help people find the theater and draw people to the social media pages, making the marketing and posts gain more traction and success.
When people search things like “plays near me” or “local theater this weekend” good SEO would help your theater show up at the exact moment someone is looking for something to do. SEO and social media work hand in hand, they each draw traffic for the other and when built with similar frameworks they create a unified front for consumers to navigate. Social media posts can lead people to your website, and the website can lead back to the social media pages. Trends can get people interested but searchable content keeps working even after a post stops trending. SEO is a slow build, but over time it helps grow awareness, ticket sales, and community interest, which is perfect for a theater trying to build a loyal audience.
Knowing your audience is vital in both social media with things like hashtags and trending audios, and in SEO with proper keywords for searches and links in appropriate sites. I’m excited to learn more about SEO and how it can help me build my career.
