GoPro is a company that came to mind that makes excellent content and overall is successful with search engine optimization tactics. The content involves quality videos that display the cool uses that users would want their product for. The content is thrilling, engaging, memorable, and unique enough for people to search for them and the content is discoverable by search engines.

Offsite Optimization

The tactic of offsite optimization is used quite well by GoPro. They are very active with their social media use and successfully engaging with their users. GoPro is advertised all over and frequently pops up when I’m watching YouTube. In my opinion, GoPro being active with their social media is their primary way of successful offsite optimization.

Segmentation/Differentiation

What makes GoPro stand out the most is their content, which successfully engages with their target audience: Adventure enthusiasts and thrill seekers. They differentiated so well to the point that GoPro is one of if not the first company you’d think of for recording adventurous activity.

Keyword Optimization

GoPro does a great job at using keywords too. Looking at their website I see the word adventure a lot, or adventure camera, or just camera, but the keywords overall do a good job at understanding the need of the user. They are plugged into the website headings, their video content titles, the description text, and other places too. Overall GoPro is a good example of a company that is successful with SEO.
