SEO-Friendly Content

Just creating content out of the blue is rarely the best approach if you are in hopes of growing a business. Obviously most content has a goal in mind, but if it isn’t optimized for Google to find, the goal or idea might never gain traction. Creating SEO-friendly content is extremely important to a business’ visibility. A simple way to know if you are creating SEO friendly content is to utilize these tips.

SEO Content Tips

  1. Find your Primary Keywords: Choose them based on relevance, search volume, and rank difficulty.
  2. Identify Content Gaps: Find topics that competitors appear for that you don’t.
  3. Choose your Secondary Keywords: These keywords could be an extension of a primary keyword or a synonym to that primary keyword.
  4. Satisfy Search Intent: Must fall under the 4 main types of informational, navigational, commercial, or transactional.
  5. Create Quality Content: Must be accurate, genuinely useful, original and engaging.
  6. Use Keywords Naturally: Don’t make it a point to fill your sentences with the word. This is keyword stuffing and it comes across as spam.
  7. Structure Content with Subheadings: This is for order and structure. Makes content easily digestible.
  8. Make your Content Easy to Read: Use short sentences, paragraphs, clear language, numbered lists or visuals.
  9. Include Multimedia Elements in your Content: Multimedia content can be more engaging to the users.
  10. Add Internal Links: Links are extremely valuable in building a topical authority.
  11. Link to High-Quality External Resources: These external links help with visibility as AI systems will see the sources and references.
  12. Optimize your Content for Featured Snippets & AI Overviews: This looks like having clear and concise explanations as well as descriptive headings and crawlable links.
  13. Create an Optimized Title Tag: Very useful for search engines to understand how your page relates to the user’s intent.
  14. Write a Compelling Meta Description: This is less for SEO and more for users, but a strong meta description will help assure that users click on your page.
  15. Optimize your URL Slug: This helps make links easier to share and understand. Much better than the random numbers and symbols that links can have.
  16. Promote your Content: This looks like sharing content online to either social media, advertisements or even just on your website.
