For this weeks blog post, I found an interesting article that talks about combining SEO and social media to better optimize your site. This sites says that when you pour time into something like writing a blog posts, you obviously want people to read them. Different search engines and media sites can send people to your blogs in significant numbers, but starting with SEO can be confusing. The article says that the key is optimization. The first way is optimizing for search engines. This is called Search engine optimization and it’s important to start by choosing a specific search that you’re going to target. The next thing is to optimize your post for that target search. The simplest way to do this is simply including keywords in your posts. Here are some other tips from the article. 1. Include the search query in the URL of your blog post. 2. Include the search query in the title tag of your blog post. 3. Write a compelling meta description. 4. Include the search query in a natural way within your post. 5. Optimize your images 6. Include relevant links to other blog posts you’ve written. The next section was about optimizing your site for social media by implementing open graph and twitter card tags. The main point of this whole article was to focus on your readers. You want quantity over quality and you should aim to make each section of your site clear and purposeful!

I honestly think SEO in terms of social media is incredibly underrated. An instagram post or Tweet is just the same as a web page. I like how you connected the focus on the reader in both website and social media SEO! Content for both industries is still focused on user experience regardless of platform
