SEO with apps

As I was trying to come up with an idea for this blog post, I was brainstorming things that you might not see on a normal Google search or things that might not even be on the internet but still involve SEO. I came up with the idea of SEO within the app store. This is an actual thing to my surprise and there has been a lot of research done on it.

SEO within the app store is called ASO (app store optimization). It works pretty much the same way as normal SEO between websites but it is on the app store and it is between different apps. The goal is the same, you want to draw people to your app. With apps, you want them to be as easily accessible as possible, similar to the goal of being able to crawl on websites.

The market for apps that run smoothly while having an easy layout has become a standard in the app industry. If you do not have a well running app, it is not likely to be successful. Not only is it important to have a smooth app, but you need to have a good name as well. The main title of the app is crucial but you also need to have a good subtitle that should be helpful in explaining what the app does. Similar to normal SEO, keywords are important with apps and the same questions are asked when selecting them. A good description of the app is also something that will go a long way, it should be engaging to your potential users and make them want them to learn more. ASO is very important in an industry that is ever-growing.
