How do you create content that engages your users? How do you create content that leads to more traffic on your website due to its greatness? Knowing what engages your users is a great way to drive more genuine traffic to your website.
Writing
It is important to have writing on your website because it will communicate what your website is about. Writing is a great way to accurately say what you want to say in an effective manner. To have the upmost effect in your writing on your website make your words direct. Your goal should be for your users to walk by and think, “Woah.” If you can convey your words well, your writing will be highly effective and beneficial for your website.
Visual
People love visuals. Videos drive user engagement. Why not try it! (As long as it is technologically available of course.) Charts, infographics and images have a pleasant effect of the user. Think about it, are you more likely to open up a picture book that has descriptive and interesting photos, or a chapter book full of words to describe the story. Give the user something to remember easily. Personally, I would snatch that picture book. When it comes to the battle between words and pictures, it really depends on the person. Some people prefer long chapter books, and they enjoy imagining the pictures themselves. Others would prefer an image for them to remember. Either way, people thrive off of visuals on a website.
Fun Side Quests
Polls, surveys, quizzes and more…Have you seen those before? Buzzfeed quizzes have struck the world by storm. The Buzzfeed quizzes do not even have an important purpose, they are just for fun. Polls and surveys are useful because they help the user voice their opinion. Most of the time, as long as they are not purely educational and give midterm vibes, quizzes are fun to take. You want your user to walk away thinking, “Woah.” Whether that means they thought it was interesting, fun, or cool, it will be a win in your book.

Great, engaging post on content! It is so important to understand how to create good content that engages users. I think it can be helpful to consider what you like to see on websites and what makes a website engaging. I personally don’t like websites that are boring, and are all words; but I also don’t like websites that are confusing and don’t communicate what they are about. So why would I make a website that is like that?
Hi! I liked you suggestion to include interactive content on your website. Users get tired of having endless amounts of content thrown at them each day, but one way to make your content stand out is by finding ways to include your audience in the content creation process. Surveys and polls are a great example of how to do that.
