I want to talk a little bit about my project and SEO. For my project, I am thinking of doing my family’s Airbnb. Last year, my family bought an Airbnb, and it turns out that it happens to be a historic building in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, where I am from. My parents want the Airbnb to get more attention not only so that people book it, but my parents really love our town’s history and want to share it. Our Airbnb, which my little sisters have started to call 228, was built in 1864 as one of the first buildings in Mount Joy. It has beautiful Italianate architecture and has recently been revamped in 2021 while still keeping the original charm. It is hard right now to find it online, and even harder to find the historical facts about 228. This is why my Mom suggested that we build a website, which then I thought, why not do that for my project. It would be a good thing for the people of Mount Joy to get to know more about their history and what they drive past every day. Before my family bought 228 we used to drive past the building and talk about how beautiful it was, but we could never find anything about it online. This was until it went up on zillow and eventually we bought it and learned the history from the previous owners. This is something that interests my family and I. I hope that building a website would not only lead to revenue, but also that people could really learn about the history of Mount Joy, and that would be the main reason for the search. When I search it up now all that comes up is the old Zillow listing and I would like to change that.
