For this blog I found an article on Search Engine Optimization and Content Marketing. I just took content marketing in the fall and found it really entertaining and know that these two things can go hand in hand and wanted to see how they can be used together. This article was particularly looking at the beauty industry which is another thing I find very interesting. As we know the beauty industry has become very competitive. There has been a lot of new competition for old brands such as Rhode. How do you make your brand stand out? First it is important that you create a content strategy, we went over this a bit in content marketing. It is very important that you stay consistent with your content. Second leverage influencer and user generated marketing. This is a huge one! For any type of business it is important to get user generated content that way other people know this is a reliable brand that people actually like and want to use. The third step is to optimize your websites technical SEO. This I want to touch on a little bit more. With the beauty business being so image heavy it is important to remember this step. One of the many different ways to do this would be to boost your sites speed. Another good way is to have a website that is also very mobile friendly, most of the time now people are looking things up on their phones instead of going to their laptops. The final step mentioned in the blog is to enhance local SEO. Be sure that everything is up to date and that people can find your actual physical location. This is also good to take advantage of now because a lot of stores are going only mobile, but their are still consumers out there that want to shop in person let them know where to find your products and what different stores your products will be in.
