Agape Energy has taken the Christian community by storm. I am sure many of you have seen content from Agape Energy on your feed over the past few months. Agape was started by Tanner Maddocks, a Villanova quarterback and devout Christian, to be a cleaner energy drink with clean, fruitful marketing. He started on social media with a concept and preorders to prove or disprove his idea. Today, over 25k cans have been preordered, and they are nearing production. How did Agape Energy get from an idea to production?

Tanner created new social media accounts and began creating simple content with a mission: to become the most-followed energy drink brand on Instagram. Not only does the account now have over 100k followers, but his concept was proven in the preorders. I myself preordered a case. The thought may occur to many that Tanner is using this niche market as a cash grab, but that is the furthest thing from the truth. I had the chance to join a Bible study led by him in mid-2025. Tanner has the heart for God and the mission to impact others in everything he does. He didn’t say this; he lived it out. God has clearly blessed Agape Energy, and I suspect He will use this brand to start conversations and further His Kingdom.

That said, Agape got to where it is thanks to social media content and marketing. It was not paid-for advertisements but organic, high-quality content that hit the feeds of millions. This is how small businesses and entrepreneurs should sell their products to the masses. While personal sales interactions are valuable, it is difficult to scale quickly. Creating quality content allows your brand to reach the masses quickly. If you pair quality with an inspiring story, you have a winning formula. If you want to grow your brand, get out there and post about it.
