This spring I have decided to start up my pressure washing company again for the summer. So, a couple weeks ago I put my advertising out and I got a call from a customer that I had pressure washed for last summer. She wanted me to come over to her house and give an estimate on how much it would cost to wash her home, I had washed her drive way last year. I went over and as I was having a conversation with her and was trying to dig to see what her motivations were, as to why she wanted her house washed. While listening, it sounded like she wasn’t totally sold on getting her house done but her son had mentioned that it may need done so she called me up. After going around the house I didn’t think it was dirty at all and that it didn’t need to be cleaned. I then approached her and told her I didn’t think that it need to be clean and she was shocked that I was honest enough to say it didn’t need it. After that encounter, I received 2 calls from her neighbors asking for me to come look at their homes, all because the first lady put in a good honest word for me. The point here is that being honest is something that will always be eventually rewarded.

  1. This awesome! When people are open and honest that is what causes a trickle down affect. This can even be applied to closing a file or telling the prospect it is not the right fit. People appreciate and respect honestly and that makes a positive sales conversation. This then causes them to telling friends or family about the good experience and before you know it you have new customers and new prospects knocking at your door.
