As a salesperson, making personal connections with your clients is very important. Making personal connections allows the salesman client relationship to flourish. Making deeper connections than just surface level business connections will give you access to more information and it will create a bond between the salesman and buyer. Asking questions about their personal life or even just mentioning something that they had previously talked about and have a massive impact on your relationship. It will build a level of trust that usually would not exist. It will make the buyer feel more comfortable with you, and most of all, people are more easily persuaded by people they are comfortable with than with people they are not.
