When I first started this class, I had absolutely no intention of ever going into a sales position. I hated the idea of trying to get people to buy something. That slowly began to change throughout the semester as we began to learn about how sales was more about making a connection than it was about trying to force a sale onto someone; a concept that I had heard of, but was relatively foreign to me.

By the end of the semester, I realized just how interesting sales really is, and I love the idea of getting to know new people and understand how I can help them to grow their business with something I have. While I originally had no intention of applying for sales positions in jobs, I kind accidentally applied for one when I misunderstood the position. When I found out it was sales, I sucked it up and decided to give it a try. I now feel that sales can be an extremely useful tool for the entrepreneur, and I’m looking forward to seeing if I can be somewhat decent at being a salesman.

  1. Wow I definitely feel the same way! Going into sales class I thought I knew for sure that this was something I didn’t want to do. But as we got into it I got to see how cool it is that your job is just talking to people all day telling them about something the probably really need!
