If I sold landscaping services, here are 10 potential questions I would ask to get to know your customer and their needs. You can’t have a script when talking to clients, but it’s smart to have a few questions ready!
- What sort of landscaping are you interested in?
- Plants? Gravel? Shaping the land?
- How much sun does your yard receive?
- What does your yard look like now? What are you hoping to change?
- What are a few words that would describe your ideal backyard?
- How much are you hoping to be involved in the process?
- Are they DIYers or do they just want to make decisions and have the team do the labor?
- Whose yard is this?
- Help determine the decision makers
- How much privacy do you have in the yard/ do you want?
- Are you more partial to flowers or greens?
- Tell me about some plants you don’t like and why? What about your favorites?
- How often are you hoping to water?
