Inside sales is the concept of, like its name, selling from inside the company. Typically, inside sales will engage in selling to their customers remotely, in an office alongside a sales team or other employees. All of this takes place within the company. Most often, companies with an inside sales approach will have a much leaner, automated process, and structed hours to their sales. How an inside sales tactic typically works is that inside sales reps will contact a lead and prospect until they find the right solution for their lead – like a traditional sales process. The hope is to uncover the customers’ needs, match them with the right solution, and finally close the deal.
