If you are looking to go into sales, there are some common questions almost all sales positions interviews will ask. Trust me I have been to several. In my experience, there are three super important questions asked in this interview. The first, ‘What motivates you?’ As a salesperson for a certain company they want to know you’re motivated to get better, better the company, and better the client. They want to hear you are motivated by helping the client get to a position where they realize they need to goods and/ or services offered by your business. The next question asked, ‘How did you land your most successful sale?’ This question is tough. You need to convey that you’re proud but not self-absorbed. You need to walk the thin line of proud but not bragging. Interviewers want to see that you have a strategy when it comes to closing deals. They want to know you know what you’re doing and are confident in yourself. They are looking for a step-by-step scenario. This way they can see and comprehend how important that sale was. This is a chance to showcase your abilities and your success. Don’t be afraid to be excited. Good luck on your next interview!

  1. I think this advice related to the ratio rules we discussed. They want to see how you sell and how well you sell. They want to see that healthy balance of asking questions, finding the pain and closing the deal.
