Earlier last year in 2025, my family decided that we needed a switch and decided to upgrade our iPhones. We decided to look into the details of our carrier T-Mobile and into other carriers such as Verizon and AT&T. We saw that Sam’s Club still carried T-Mobile plans, so we decided to go there and check out the deals they had. When we got there, there was a deal for us to upgrade our phones to the iPhone 16 and to even get in store shopping credit. We decided to look into that deal because we could get up to $200 or $300 store credit with a purchase of a new phone. I thought that the buying experience went pretty well because the T-Mobile sellers helped us to make it easier to add a line and upgrade our phones. If we had any problems transferring over the data from our old phones to our new ones, they would help us answer our questions and stayed with us until we finished. I think that the workers staying and helping us made it a better buying experience because it showed that they cared and that they weren’t selling phones just for the money. It’s a good tactic to make your customers feel important and that you’re selling them more than just an item, you’re selling them a great buying experience so that they will come back in the future. I also liked how the T-Mobile sellers also tried to understand us and ask questions to know us better instead of just jumping straight to business. I also thought that this was a good tactic because you want to get to know your customers instead of treating everything as a business transaction all the time. Getting to know us better also helped us to trust them more and for them to understand where we’re coming from. Overall, this was a great Iphone buying experience and it taught me a lot about sales.

  1. I think this experience ties well into the talk that Coach DiDonato gave to us. It sounds like the T-mobile sellers tried to ask you guys open ended questions to get to know you better before jumping into the business of answering your questions and explaining benefits of one phone or plan over another.
