This funny video clip is in light of a few very important things we should NOT do in a sales call situation.

Michael mentions three specific words that a salesperson should not be – aggressive, hostile, and difficult.

He goes on to say a salesperson should be respectful, it is up to them to change the buyer’s mind, they should establish boundaries and not pry into the buyer’s personal matters so they can build trust, and lastly, never yell at the client.

Michael gets at these points as Jim sets the sage. Dwight plays into it, and Michael is able to direct their interactions. You can say Jim is being slightly unreasonable, but in a sales call you should be prepared for anything from crazy names to old-timers.
