Since we are all at least toying with the idea of going into some sort of sales occupation. We should consider the Sale Jobs projections. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, “Employment of sales and related occupations is projected to show little or no change from 2018 to 2028.” This is good for us, hopeful college graduates. These jobs will continue to be in demand. The demand is now increasing based on everything that is covered by the umbrella of sales. Especially now, with more sales coming from the E-commerce. This simply means E-commerce will depress in-person retailers however, this means E-commerce businesses will take off. Sales workers in the services and wholesale sectors will continue to be in demand because these occupations remain critical in building and maintaining customer bases for businesses. Speaking to a person rather than a robot really helps the clientele get less frustrated with the company. Having someone on the other end of the line makes for much smoother transitions, and higher customer satisfaction.

It sounds like these sales jobs are simply being changed to online marketing instead of typical sales positions.
This is really interesting on how robots will not replace the salesperson
