Music has been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember. I can play piano, drums, any percussion instrument, and a little bass guitar, guitar, and almost any brass instrument. Within the last 10 months, I have picked up music production. Basically, I just really love to create rap and hip-hop beats on my computer and post them on SoundCloud. Eventually, I would love to make a website (which I have started already) to sell my creations on. That would be probably one of the coolest things I could ever do.

In the future, my goal is to have my own music and recording studio. I’m thinking about opening it up in Atlanta, Georgia, because the music world there is growing so rapidly right now. Having my own studio and being able to sell my company is definitely a huge deal. I’d have to make my business marketable and make sure it is recognized and is in good standing with the general music public. However, if I cannot sell my studio and record label to people, then there will be no business and I will not make any profit. I am learning different sales techniques in my sales class, and I can definitely see how they can be used to convince people to buy whatever it is that you are selling. Hopefully one day, I will be able to do this and it will be so amazing. I know that if I keep working on making music and connections with people, then I will make it in the industry one day. I just have to keep working hard on my music and trying to sell myself as a music producer. Good thing Professor Sweet can help me sell myself to a company or even help me sell my own company in the future.

  1. I love your beats Dan. I really like your plan and Atlanta, Georgia is the spot to do it! I want to hear you play all those instruments that you mentioned. I think you should maybe pursue a minor of some sort here at Grove City to add to your resume because the music business is very competitive and that could give you a edge.
