They can also display their product and its features. Allowing them to make sales online without even meeting with anyone in person. These platforms also help with targeting certain customer segments. For example, on TikTok if you look up sales on the app your feed will then start sprinkling in sales videos. It is becoming easier than ever to reach people with similar interests. Now becoming successful online isn’t exactly easy. Due to social medias recent explosion of popularity millions of people across the world are attempting to build a career online. So how does one stand out? One important key is building trust among his followers. This can look like giving tips to people looking to get into sales or answering questions in the comment section. Customer service goes a long way. This will give a salesperson a great customer base in the long run. Another factor is making high quality content. One needs to make sure their content is entertaining enough to draw people in. Short form content has become so popular but increases the importance of the content grabbing the user’s attention quickly. We have learned that with in-person sales it is important to get to know your customers first and build a relationship. It is the same thing with online sales. First focus on building that brand identity and then move forward. Leaning on your product early on may backfire. Rather, provide fun content that starts to build a community of people drawn to your brand.

I really like what you said about trying to stand out by building trust. I feel like trust is often seen as something that is talked about too much in sales and it gets boring when everyone talks about it too much but it honestly needs to be emphasized more. If trust is what makes you stand out then I would say you are on the right path.
