Most people have misconceived ideas of what sales is. People believe that the secret to sales is being able to skillfully tell people about a product in a way that makes the product more attractive to the customer. They believe that sales is a game of deception. However, this is not at all the nature of sales. In order to be successful in sales, one must first be able to identify a pain that his customer has; whether the person knows that have such a pain or not. Then the salesperson must be able to show the customer how their product will relieve that pain without being too forceful. Pain is the key to sales. If you can actively show someone how you will actually improve their life with a product, it is very likely that you will be able to sill your product.
