All of this previous week (2/6 – 2/10) I was running a club event, and had to sell the event before it happened. I then also had to sell every night of the week during the event as well in order to keep people wanting to come back. And even though I didn’t gain a lot of new club members throughout the week, I did get more current members to become more interested and more invested in the club. Relating this to real world sales outside of a college club, it shows just how hard it is to obtain a new customer and the importance of working to maintain current ones. Sales is more than just getting new customers, but keeping current customers happy. I feel like since I was able to successfully sell an event that just asked for peoples time, especially since we were playing outside in the cold, I have learned how to better sell a service.
