Salespeople have a lot of keys to pay attention to while selling. if they have the right fit. what the buyers pain is. If they mesh well as collogues These and many others are key points that salespeople need to be aware of while they try to sell. Perhaps none are more important than to be able to close the deal when the time is right.
If someone is a good fit and your product is something that fits what they need well then you need to understand how to close the deal well. To close a deal well there needs to be couple factors. The client should never feel forced or pressure by the sell. They should be able to feel comfortable to be honest about any issues or concerns they have. Ideally they want to understand that there is no better option for whatever their issues is and that you are their best option to fix their current problem. As Pink says never ask for the order make the prospect give up. it should be ideal to have the buyer decide you are the best option and not be asked to buy the product.
Make sure that is amicable because if they do have an issue it is better for them to say so then they just buy so you will leave them a lone. A good experience means they will speak well about you to other possible clients. They may even come back to you for return business so that they can get the great experience again. People want to work with genuine honest people that will treat them well and with respect that is the best way to get a return customer.
Good post. I like how you emphasized return customers at the end. That’s important for maintaining a business and business partnerships.
Logan, I like how you point out the importance of not just going straight into a sales conversation trying to get a close but you emphasize the importance of insuring the product is a good fit for the client before selling. I also like how you point out the buyer should see you as the best option on their own and not be forced to make a deal just to get you to go away.
This post does a good job of explaining how to get a prospect to close a deal themselves, and how as a seller we can make that happen. I like how you mentioned that the prospect should feel comfortable about the close, and that if this is done correctly it could result in repeat purchases or references to other buyers.
I love how you defined a good experience saying that it means they will speak well about you to other possible clients.
