I was with my dad over Easter Break to buy him a suit and a sports coat for my graduation. We went to Men’s Wearhouse on a busy Saturday. The first girl walked up and welcomed us but then, I am assuming, did not think we were there to make any purchases because my dad said he was browsing. A few minutes later the manager of the store walked up to us and was very helpful and my dad went on to purchase more than he originally expected. Employees at Men’s Wearhouse work off of commissions so it pays to give treat every customer as if they are the most important person in the store.

Working off of commissions is a great thing, however Pink says that we should also learn to serve others in order to build relationships and not just for a commission. This is a great example of how to serve!
This is so true – in sales it is important to treat each customer with the respect and as if they are the most important person in the store. Nice post!
