This week, the one thing that stuck out to me was specifically how Evan Addams with precise networking. What Professor Sweet said about Doug who outsold everyone because of the relationships he had between businesses that were in contact with the type of people he wanted to sell to was also interesting to me. They exemplified the importance of creating sales channels around the areas and markets you are trying to sell to. Sales becomes easy when these channels are put into place because the business is starting to come to the salesperson. Brian Tracy explains that the three qualities in great salespeople are ambition, overcoming fears, making a total commitment to success. I believe these are all things needed in creating these sales channels where relationships that last form. Ambition gets you started in going after bigger client and people who are going to give you more connections. Even if salespeople who are ambitious are rejected they are stirred on by their desire to be at the top. This goes into overcoming fears because they would be willing to not care of getting over rejection to make these channels, which will help them meet their ambitious goals. The last thing being a total commitment to success is also important in creating and maintaining good sales channels. Tracy says that we are responsible for our success no one else. When people put themselves in situations where they have no option except to succeed their performance will figure out how to succeed. These three things I thought are key in creating sales channels and all people need to learn to walk these qualities out in their lives.
