Robert Herjavec has 5 essential tips for selling anything to anyone. He says that salespeople are not the only ones selling product/service. Robert explains in his latest book “You Don’t Have to Be Shark,” about the simplicity, such as the example of parents convince their kids to finish their food, believe it or not you are selling something. Whatever you are selling, it’s easier than most people think, just keep following 5 tips in mind…
- The first thing is to sell yourself, which means be the salesperson you would also buy something from. Make sure you know your product and present.
- Listen more than you talk because good salespeople listen to what their clients are saying. Good salespeople pay attention to the clients’ needs from the beginning.
- Know who to sell to because a common mistake that salespeople make is trying to sell to anyone and everyone. So, make sure whatever you are selling fulfills the potential client’s needs and is realistic for them.
- Understand what motivates the other side, which means pay attention to what is driving the potential client to take that meeting in the first place.
- Lastly, keep it simple, do not overcomplicate your pitch. Keep your pitch simple and under 30 seconds and also practice your elevator pitch.
Robert Herjavec said the key to selling anything to anyone successfully is to always think about the potential clients you are selling to. Always make your apporach about potential clients needs and think about how they will feel after the pitch and/or meeting.
