In the world of sales there are many skills that you have to master in order to be successful in your job. Understanding the basis of what being a successful salesperson is we’ll put you from good to great in this industry. A person must be able to build trust with customers through listening and building relationships with them instead of initially talking about making a sale. It’s all about learning about the customers’ wants and needs that will make them comfortable to openly talk about a sale. This will also heighten your chances of making a sale since you have given them the chance to talk and explain what they need so you can accommodate your sales pitch to them to make it as successful as possible. Another very valuable sales skill that is often overlooked by salesman in there many tools to create a sale is positive body language. Having positive body language and being engaging, moving your hands and putting emphasis on words or details of a product helps keep the customer more engaged and interested. Whenever there is the slightest chance of disengagement with the customer oftentimes if you just correct your body language and try to be a little bit more engaging. A big thing too let’s say if you’re a car salesman it’s keeping the customer on their feet and active because there is psychology behind the fact that if you’re on your feet you stay more awake and engaged. Another great skill to have is honestly just being an outgoing energetic person. If you are naturally more of a talkative and social person and are easy to get along with that is also a great value people look for in hiring salespeople. After all your entire job is based around customer relations in order to build trust and make sales. This is a great basis let’s have when you decide you want to pursue a sales job.

I really agree with what you said about body language because if you have a negative body language then you can potentially scare off the customer.
