Over break, my siblings and I were trying to figure out what we should do to entertain ourselves… cries of “I’m bored” and “There’s nothing to do” echoed off the walls, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. I’m never bored- not since college, anyway. There are always things I want or need to do… honestly, I kind of wish I had the time to complain of being bored, just so it could push me to be creative again like it did when I was younger.

I tried “changing the environment” — something I think Professor Sweet mentioned the other day. Since using either of our cars wasn’t an option, we had to get creative at home. We ended up scavenging the pantry and fridge for fun snacks, grabbing a speaker, and setting up our backyard for an afternoon of fun. We swam for hours, ate strawberries, chips, and sipped on fun drinks we had stocked up on earlier. The boys eventually tossed the football around and walked to the park, while Eden and I soaked up the sun, tanning and napping.

Overall, it was a wonderful time– an example of non-sales selling that I did over break to keep my siblings entertained!

  1. I love the post! I think that changing the envrionment is a critical thing that isn’t mentioned a whole lot and needs to be added more into sales conversations

  2. Nice job Leyla! It’s so fun to see all the different situations that concepts we’ve learned about in this class can be used in!
