When John came in the other day, he was not expecting to be a guest speaker. However, when he came up to speak, he gave us a lot of sales wisdom that I hadn’t thought about before. The main takeaway for me was when he talked about assuming everyone he talks to is going to buy. Instead of being fearful and trying to “go for the close” he remains confident and establishes in his mind that they are already closed. This tactic can be very helpful in sales, and in everyday life because it can grant you large amounts of confidence in yourself and what you are selling. People should not mistake this practice with manipulation, or lack of care for a customer. It is actually the exact opposite, because John wants the best for his buyer by selling them what they need.
